Below you'll find directions on how to reach us.
By Car:
- From Milan: Take the Northern Ring Road, exit Cinisello; Highway to Lecco until Colico; SS 38 towards Sondrio, Tirano, Bormio.
- From Brescia: A4 Motorway, exit Brescia Ovest towards Lake Iseo; SS42 to Breno, Edolo; SS39 to Aprica, Tirano; SS 38 to Bormio.
- From Bergamo: SS 342 to Cisano Bergamasco (about 17km), then SS 639 for 10km to Lecco. Then continue on the highway to Colico, SS 38 to Sondrio, Tirano, Bormio.
- From Zernez : La Drossa – Tunnel "Munt la Schera" Drossa – P.te del Gallo, Livigno; SS301 to Bormio. Tunnel open year-round with toll (for more information click here)
- From St. Moritz: Bernina Pass, Forcola Pass, Livigno, Bormio or Bernina Pass, Tirano, Bormio.
During the summer season, you can also reach Bormio through some charming alpine passes:
- Stelvio Pass at an altitude of 2758 meters reachable from the South Tyrolean side (Prato Stelvio) and from Switzerland (Santa Maria) with descent towards Bormio (open until November)
- Gavia Pass at an altitude of 2651 meters reachable from Ponte di Legno with descent towards Santa Caterina Valfurva and then Bormio (open until November)
- Forcola Pass at an altitude of 2315 meters is reachable from St. Moritz or Tirano with descent towards Livigno and then Bormio (open until November).
Bare in mind that, depending on the amount of snow accumulated, they can remain closed until well into June. Check the live situation here
By Train or by Bus:
- From Milan to Tirano: with the Milan – Lecco – Sondrio – Tirano railway line. (approx. 2 hours and 30 min. with Trenitalia trains) From Milan, you can also reach Valtellina from the convenient city railway stations of San Cristoforo, Romolo, Porta Romana, Lambrate, and Greco Pirelli.
- From St. Moritz in Switzerland, you can reach Tirano with the Rhaetian Railway (Red Train, check the timetable here and here) and then continue to Bormio with the local bus service.
- From Tirano you can reach Bormio using the local bus service. (Schedules and services on the page of Bus Perego)
- From Liguria or Emilia Romagna: Bormio is served by comfortable Gran Trusmo bus lines passing through Milan (via Lecco-Sondrio), from the resorts of the Romagna Riviera (three times per week, from June to September), and the Ligurian Riviera (once per week, from June to September). By Plane:
- You can fly in any of the three major airports in Milan: they are very well connected to the main train station from where you can catch the train. From Verona airport you'll need to catch a train to Milan
